Kismat Konnection (2015) is a Hindi romantic comedy film directed by Santosh Sivan, starring Kunal Kapoor and Neha Sharma in lead roles. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Anupam Kher, Divya Dutta and Sunil Shetty in supporting roles.The story revolves around a young photographer Golu who falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy industrialist Rajendra Sinha's daughter Reena to the disapproval of her father. Rajendra has high hopes from his son Rahul to marry Reena so he fixes their marriage date for New Year's Eve which Golu manages to postpone until after his marriage by Golu asks for support from other friends. Golu falls in love with Reena but is also very close to his friend and neighbour Rakesh and Rakesh's classmate, Meera. Golu's mother, played by Neha Sharma is a very good cook and has prepared a lot of dishes for the wedding party which Reena always refuses at one point she even asks Golu to marry her. The film had its world premiere at the 2015 International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on 21 November 2015 as part of their Goa leg. The film received positive reviews from critics and was later released on 24 December 2015 across theaters in India. Golu (Kunal Kapoor) is a young photographer who is in love with his neighbour Reena (Neha Sharma) daughter of a multimillionaire who wants to marry her to Rahul (Ajay Devgn). Golu and Reena meet at the train station where they accidentally board the same train only to get off at the next station and in the commotion their phones get switched. However, when they realize it, they can't remember what phone belongs to whom and panic sets in. Soon after, they run into each other again and this time manage to find out where each other live. But both of them refuse to give up their number this time around. Golu also has a friend who is also close to him called Rakesh (Aneesh Rajan). Rakesh works part-time for an ad agency that Rahul attends. While at work, he accidentally causes Rahul to lose his job after telling him that his client had just canceled the advertisement. The client then fires Rakesh on the spot. Rahul then feels bad for Rakesh and states that they are good friends, offering to pay him his salary which angers Golu who is next to him at the time. After this incident occurs, Golu meets up with his friend Meera (Divya Dutta) whose boyfriend was fired from the advertising agency where he worked as well. One day, Golu and Reena get into an argument about something that he says offends her. Afterward, she gets into a car with Rahul who is there to take her shopping and they get married (without telling Rakesh and Golu) by a member of the tantric community. After the wedding, Rahul returns to his office in which he finds out that his client had just canceled their advertisement once again. He then goes into his office in anger in which Rakesh makes fun of him for marrying Reena but in doing so insults her by saying that she will eventually cheat on him.
